Programs

Training Sessions

The Boxing Club will be "CLOSED" on all government statutory holidays.

All ages training occurs every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.  We encourage participants to arrive on time to begin training promptly at 7:00pm.  We also support, and view your childrens skills progression.

A regular training session consists of:

  • 7:00 PM - warm-up, stretching.
  • 7:30 PM - circuit and individual training.
  • 8:30 PM - sparring (or) continued skills development

Masters Division Training (35 and up.)

  • Every Monday evening 7:00pm until 9:00pm.

*** Sparring is NOT required, this is up to each individual.


Membership Fees

Membership fees for the 2008-09 season will be as follows:

Initial Registration

$100.00 to accompany registration application form.  Your registration fee includes registration with Boxing Alberta which is a member of Boxing Canada (Canadian Amateur Boxing Association).

Monthly Fees

$30.00 montly fees are due each following month.  This fee will be waived for individuals who have had a volunteer represent them (self, parent, other) for bingo or other club development events during the previous month.  A MONTHLY FEE must be paid if the member does not assist with a club fundraising or development activity.


  Rules of Conduct, Safety, and Hygiene

Conduct

Athletes will be expectd to:

  • remain in allowed areas and conduct themselves appropriately.
  • arrive on time, sign in, and be present at training.
  • not swear, tease, or use profane language or music.
  • wear appropriate and practical clothing.

Parents will be expected to:

  • complete and sign registration form.
  • complete and return information sheet.
  • submit monthly dues on time.
  • participate, as available, in fundraising events.

Safety

Athletes' expectations:

  • no hitting bags or sparring without wraps/gloves.
  • no sparring without mouth guard, headgear and supervision.
  • no removable jewelry or exposed piercing during training.
  • caution is advised for contact lens wearers.
  • no horseplay, obey instructors directions.

Hygiene

Athletes will be expected to:

  • Wear shoes
  • Clean and put away equipment after use.
